Yakuza: Like a Dragonmight be coming to PS5. This month’s SegaNama stream included a corner withYakuzaseries' Daisuke Sato chatting about how the Covid-19 pandemic affects Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio and Sega. He explained how game development has slowed down at the studio and Sega as a whole, but it’s still progressing. At around 43:00 minutes in, Daisuke Sato mentioned: “Ryu Ga Gotoku 7, calledYakuza: Like a Dragonin the west, was already announced there. And regarding the western release’s stops development. Woops, I almost said something I shouldn’t yet.” He continued later: “There’s something more we must develop for the Western release”.

Yakuza: Like a Dragonis currently a PS4 exclusive in Japan. The PC, Xbox One and Xbox Series X versions were announced for the Western release. So it’s highly likely that this “something” needed for the Western release that Sato mentioned is another next-gen version, a PS5 version ofYakuza: Like a Dragon, to go along with the Xbox Series X version.
