When YouTuber Austin Evans disassembled the new Xbox Series X consoles, he found that the cooling solution and system-on-chip (SoC) had been modified to a new 6nm version. Microsoft replaced the original’s vapor chamber cooling system with a more conventional copper heat pipe.
As a result, both when idle and when playing games, the new Xbox consoles use less power. When not in use, the Xbox Series X digital edition consumes about 38 watts, while the 2TB model uses about 51 watts. Compared to the original Xbox Series X, which used 61 watts, that is a significant savings.
During gaming, the same advantages were discovered. The original Xbox Series X required 167 watts, the 2TB model used 151 watts, and the digital version used 156 watts.

Last but not least, PS5 Pro will debut Sony’s PlayStation Spectral Super Resolution technology, which will be used for AI upscaling and can be adjudged as a competitor to Nvidia’s DLSS or AMD’s FSR.
