Blizzard feels pretty happy with the current state of Delves,World of Warcraft’s endgame content introduced in the latestWar Within expansion. Originally meant to offer a fun new way for endgame characters to find new fun, they earned a mixed reception on launch.
Now, two months down the road, Blizzard feels satisfied with the work they’ve done. They’re not abandoning the idea of more changes, but they’re “really excited about the emergence of Delves taking root as a new pillar of the WoW endgame.”

“[There are] definitely some regrets and lessons learned. As has been discussed in the past, there were a couple of tricky bugs with scaling that, until we realized that there were bugs, it led to some very wild over-corrections and tuning.”
This information comes to us from aPCgamerinterview with Ion Hazzikostas, the game director for World of Warcraft. In his opinion, much of the controversy around Delves was its focus on single-player experiences.

World of Warcraft: The War Within - All New Zones, Ranked
Don’t let the low count of four zones fool you. There’s SO much to see and do in all of them!
“For many players, they enjoy the feeling of progression, of getting stronger, overcoming a challenge. And I think in the past, that gameplay was really limited to people who were playing in groups. There wasn’t a challenge to be found for you as a solo player, other than one-off things like the Mage Tower back in Legion.”

Delves were something new to the World of Warcraft ecosystem, and multiplayer-focused expectations caused a bit of friction. But with some adjustments, Hazzikostas believes that Delves have found their footing, and he looks forward to seeing how players enjoy them.
“I think giving players, of all play styles, a chance to have goals to work towards is something that we’re very excited about.”

Warcraft I & II Remastered For Series' 30th Anniversary
Warcraft I & II are being remastered with new graphics & QoL upgrades for the series' 30th anniversary.
We got a ton of news from that, including the announcement of Warcraft 1 and 2 remasters. Pandaria is coming to World of Warcraft: Classic, even Hearthstone is getting a Starcraft crossover.

With news like this, it’s a good time to be a World of Warcraft fan. Unless you’re still not happy with Delves. In which case, you’ll get all the rest of that content minus the Delves.
