We’ve very recently had an announcement for Blizzard’s MMOWorld of Warcraftat this year’s Blizzcon 2019 event. That announcement being the upcomingWorld of Warcraft: Shadowlandsexpansion. But what if you miss the earlier expansions from absolutely yonks ago? Thanks to this month being the official 15th anniversary of the game, you kind of can!
World of Warcraftis celebrating its 15th anniversary by allowing players to essentially travel back in time to complete limited time raids from previous expansion passes. The expansions specifically included areBurning Crusade, Wrath of the Lich King, andCataclysm.

These raids will introduce three iconic bosses and can be found through their own wings by navigating to the Raid Finder. You’ll need to ensure you have a minimum item level of 380 to be eligible to join the raid.
Those who complete all three wings will unlock an achievement titled, “Memories of Fel, Frost and Fire”. Unlocking this will give the player the Obsidian Worldbreaker, a Black Dragonflight mount that is inspired by Deathwing.
That’s not all though. DuringWorld of Warcraft’s15th-anniversary event, you can jump into the Korrak’s Revenge battleground inspired by Alterac Valley. If players take part in Korrak’s Revenge and unlock the Alterac Valley of Olde achievement, they’ll get two new mounts. One of those is the Stormpike Battle Ram if you’re an Alliance player, and if you’re Horde, you’ll grab the Frostwolf Snarler.
As a further cause for celebration, players will get an anniversary gift. Those who log in toWorld of Warcraftduring the anniversary event will get a bunch of gifts in the mail. These include a Lil' Nefarian battle pet, a celebration package that grants experience and reputation buffs throughout the event, a reusable firework that can only be used through the event, an item that teleports the player to the Caverns of Time, and “other in-game goodies.”
