The Small Bourgeon is one place where you’re able to find a white Bourgeon who makes a bizarre request: it will ask you to bringBourgeon Skin. It needs this skin so that this small Nevron can use it to grow.

Clair Obscur: Expedition 33: How To Beat Goblu
The gang meets an angry gardener.
But to get a Bourgeon skin, you will first need to find one of these creatures. Luckily, there are a handful of hostile Bourgeons that you can find on The Continent to complete this quest.
So, without further ado, here is where you can find the Bourgeon skin in Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, how to beat the Bourgeon in Flying Waters for it, and how to use its skin.

Where To Find The White Bourgeon?
you’re able to find the white Bourgeon in The Small Bourgeon. After you exit Flying Waters, you should find 3 enemies in front of you and the entrance to the Ancient Sanctuary. Go left, and you should reach the entrance to The Small Bourgeon.
After you go inside, walk past Expedition Flag 53, and you will be in an open area. Towards the left, you can find a faint yellow light. Go there, and you will find the small white Bourgeonwho will ask you to get this skin.

You don’t strictly have to talk to the white Bourgeon before getting the skin and can get this quest item first.
How To Get Bourgeon Skin In Clair Obscur: Expedition 33
You can get a Bourgeon skin by defeating a Bourgeon. One of them can be found in Flying Waters, three in The Continent, and another in Flying Manor.
The easiest and possibly the first Bourgeon encounter for many should be the one that exists in Flying Waters. From Expedition Flag 48, follow the natural path towards the buildings, then turn left. Continue going straight, and you will find a Bourgeon standing alone.

If you didn’t save at the Expedition Flag, you can quickly switch weapons on any character to force save the game.
How To Prepare For The Bourgeon Fight
The easiest way to fight Bourgeon is by spamming attacks that deal lightning damage, as this element is its only weakness. However, this fight isn’t going to be very easy, as one of its notorious moves is that it can eat your party members, which can put you at a severe disadvantage.
So, to better prepare for this fight. Here are the party members you should take in this fight, the best skills to equip them, and the list of moves that the Bourgeon can use on you.

Best Party Composition To Fight Bourgeon
The party I used for this fight consisted of Lune, Gustave, and Maelle. Gustave and Lune are very important for this fight.
By default,Gustaveknows the skill Overcharge, which, when paired with Perfect executions, can deal some serious damage to the Bourgeon.
Lunecan learn the move Thunderfall, which drops multiple bolts of lightning on the Bourgeon and is very effective against the creature.
You should check outhow Stains worksto make the most out of her skills.
As forMaelle, when she is in her Offensive stance, she can deal some great physical damage even though the Bourgeon isn’t specifically weak to it. Aside from that, you can use Maelle’s turns to use items to heal, revive, or give extra AP to the other Party members.

Description
Overcharge
This skill deals high Lightning damage to a single target based on the number of Charges. It does 1 hit. Can break. Resets Charges after the skill is used.
Recovers 50% health and dispels status effects on himself. This skill gives 0 to 2 Charges.
Applies a Powerful status effect to 1–3 allies which increases the damage they deal for 3 turns. This skill gives 0 to 2 Charges.
Thunderfall
It does medium Lightning damage to random enemies. This move can do 2-6 hits. Critical Hits will trigger another hit. It consumes Fire Stain to deal increased damage.
Healing Light
Heals a target ally by 30-50% health and dispels any status effects. When it consumes 2 Earth Stains, it costs 0 AP.
Offensive Switch
This skill deals low damage to a single target while applying a Defenceless debuff to the target for 3 turns. It does 1 hit and uses the weapon’s element.
Percée deals medium physical damage to a single target. It does 1 hit. Marked enemies take increased damage. Virtuose Stance costs 2 AP.
Starting with Gustave, Powerful is an optional skill, but it can be handy to buff your party. The most important skill in your arsenal for him will be Overcharge.
The one thing you should pay attention to while using Overcharge is first charging Gustave’s arm. you may do that by parrying, dodging, or simply dealing damage by attacking your enemy. So, even if you have the required AP to use the skill, you should hold onto it until you increase your Arm’s charge.
However, you shouldn’t wait too much either, as there is a random chance the Bourgeon might eat Gustave. So, it is better to use Overcharge when his arm’s charge level is five or higher, rather than waiting for it to reach 10 and getting eaten in the process.
Clair Obscur: Expedition 33: 11 Essential Beginner Tips
This bold JRPG epic has a lot of cool systems, and these tips will help you get the most out of them.
Recover is something you should save to heal Gustave. As it can heal 50% HP, you’re able to gamble on his health getting quite low and not use it immediately after getting hit once. It also lets Lune conserve her AP and use Healing Light on herself and other party members who can’t heal themselves.
The second most important skill in this fight is Thunderfall. It isn’t as reliable as Overcharge because of the random 2-6 hits probability, but it still does quite a lot of damage.
Finally, for Maelle, try keeping her in Offensive stance as much as possible. She can make some meaningful contributions to the fight with her physical damage when using her skills and counters properly. Alternatively, as suggested before, you always have the option to spend her turn using items.
Bourgeon Attack Breakdown
Eating an Ally
Bourgeon eats an ally, making them unusable for the rest of the fight until they are freed. You can free your ally by breaking their Break bar. Defeating the Bourgeon also frees any eaten party members.
Bourgeon spits Miasma. These are green projectiles that you can parry or dodge. If it hits a character, the Exhaust debuff gets applied to them. While the character is exhausted, they won’t recover AP from any source.
3-hit Combo
Bourgeon attacks a character with a 3-hit combo. It uses its right hand for the first strike, which is a bit slow. But the next two that follow happen in quick succession.
5-hit Combo
Bourgeon starts the attack by slamming its left hand twice. It then follows it with its 3-hit combo.
Crushing Combo
Bourgeon uses its 3-hit combo. Next, it slams its left hand twice on the character, which is similar to the ones it uses during its 5-hit combo. Finally, it ends the move with a head slam to the ground.
Bourgeon can eat multiple party members during the fight. So, try managing your AP and using skills so that you can deal maximum damage quickly before it can eat up your entire party.
How To Beat The Bourgeon In Flying Waters In Clair Obscur: Expedition 33
AP management is the key to defeating the Bourgeon. The more AP you have, the more frequently you can use your skills that deal lightning damage. This, in turn, will finish the fight faster.
Since the Bourgeon only has five moves, including one that you can’t do much about, you need to make sure you parry or perfect dodge the other four attacks consistently.
When Bourgeon eats your party member, you can only release them by breaking the Bourgeon.
The perfect dodge restores AP. Even if you do it a bit early, it is pretty forgiving because then, while you may not restore AP, at least you won’t take any damage. Once you get used to the perfect dodge timings, use parry instead to deal additional damage with counters.
Start the fight with Gustave using Powerful to buff the team. In the following turns with Gustave, your goal will be to charge his arm to power up his skill Overcharge.
With Lune, your goal will be to save AP and use Thunderfall whenever you get the chance, or Healing Light if she or Maelle gets low on health. If you are looking for chip damage, use her skills like immolation or wildfire, which can inflict burn on the bourgeon.
The burn elemental damage isn’t super-effective, but it does add up to the additional damage done over time. For Maelle, her best shot against Bourgeon is to use Percée and counters as often as possible.
Do this, and you shouldn’t have too much trouble defeating the Bourgeon. Upon defeat, this boss drops:
How To Use The Bourgeon Skin In Clair Obscur: Expedition 33
You use the Bourgeon skin by giving it to the white Bourgeon that can be found in the Small Bourgeon area. While initially it does nothing. After you leave the area and come back, you will see that the white Bourgeon has grown.
For the white Bourgeon to grow, you actually have to leave the area, and just resting at the Expedition Flag won’t work.
Talk to it and it will give you the following rewards:
Should You Attack The White Bourgeon?
Ideally, you shouldn’t attack the White Bourgeon. Upon defeat, it drops 5x Colour of Lumina and 1xPolished Chroma Catalyst. But here are some things that you should consider before attacking it.
The White Bourgeon’s side quest is part of the Nevron quests. After completing them all, you get the achievement “Aiding the Enemy”. But the main reward for doing the Nevron quests can be obtained from Blanche, who you can find in the Fountain Area.
If you do not attack the friendly Nevrons, Blanche will reward you with 100x Color of Lumina. However, if you attack any or all of them, you will get a boss fight in this encounter instead.
Defeating Blanche gives you 10x Colour of Lumina and 2xGrandiose Chroma Catalyst. So, depending on what rewards you prefer, you may choose whether attacking the white Bourgeon is worth it or not.
