Christopher McDonald is an iconic actor who portrayed the role of the villain Shooter McGavin in the 1996 film. In a recent interview on92.3 The Fan,the actor claimed that Adam Sandler showed him the first draft ofHappy Gilmore 2and he is quite excited for the project.

“I saw Adam about two weeks ago, and he says, ‘McDonald, you’re gonna love this,’ He shows me the first draft of Happy Gilmore 2. He did show me that, and I thought, ‘Wow, that would be awesome.’ So it’s in the works. Fans, demand it, damn it!”
Well,Happy Gilmorereceived a rating of 7/10 on IMDB and an average of 62% on Rotten Tomatoes but was hailed as quite a funny movie (as is every other Adam Sandler movie). Although McDonald has claimed that a sequel is in the works, there are yet no official remarks for the same. And if there is a sequel in the works, there are no official comments on whether Julie Bowen is in the film or not. The 1996 film is currently available to stream on Apple TV+ in the U.S.
