InHouse of the Dragonseason 2, Aegon II and Aemond Targaryen take center stage while their mother, Alicent Hightower (Olivia Cooke), is sidelined from the politics of King’s Landing. However, the sixth episode introduced another one of Alicent’s sons, Daeron Targaryen.
In the episode, Alicent learns about her and Viserys’ youngest son, who is being raised away from the Red Keep, in Oldtown. Alicent’s brother, Gwayne Hightower, informs her about the upbringing of Daeron, who has grown up to be a clever and kind teenager.

In the books, Alicent and Viserys had three sons and one daughter. However, the youngest son, Daeron, was missing from the television adaptation. While Daeron does not appear in the episode, he is confirmed to be a teenager in Oldtown.
