Jenna Ortega Reveals Exciting Updates ForWednesdaySeason 2

During her conversation withLive From E!: Emmys host Laverne Cox, actressJenna Ortegashared a bunch of information regarding the second season of Netflix’sWednesday. She claimed they will delve more into the horror aspect of the show:

“I’ve received some scripts now for the second season, and we’re definitely leaning into a little bit more horror. It’s really, really exciting because all throughout the show, Wednesday does need a bit of an arc. She never really changes, and that’s the wonderful thing about her.”

ForVariety’s Actors on Actorssegment, Ortega shared that they will ditch “any romantic love interest for Wednesday” as it made no sense for the character, according to the actress.

WednesdaySeries Creators Plan To Make More Sequels

Showrunners Alfred Gough and Miles Millar toldVarietythat they intended to make more seasons from the beginning. While success is never guaranteed, it’s always better to always plan ahead.

“For us, it’s always looking at the future, and when we sit down to create a show, it’s looking at multiple seasons, ideally. That’s never expected, but that’s the anticipation that hopefully, the show is successful.”

Millar also added that they have a clear vision of what they wanted for the show, though they are open to developing or altering ideas to fit the current flow of the story.

“You always lay out at least three or four seasons’ worth of potential storylines for the characters. It can evolve and change. We certainly have a pretty clear runway of what we want to do in future season.”

There is so much to look forward to in the second season of Netflix’sWednesday, and fans surely cannot wait to see what adventures the characters will embark on. Production is also reportedly scheduled to start in April 2024.
