Speaking withGameRant, Francesca Gardiner and Mark Mylod noted that the upcoming series will stretch over the course of a decade, providing the luxury of time to delve into every important detail that was once left out in the films. So it seems that this ambitious approach could mark a stark contrast to the original film adaptations, which merely had a few hours to explore the rich characters, settings, and plotlines.

Further addressing how they are going to explore every character, location, and story that wasn’t included in the movies, Francesca Gardiner and Mark Mylod mentioned that they would even remain faithful to the characters’ canonical ages. Like for example, in the showSeverus Snape will actually be played by someone in their 30sas opposed to the film depiction helmed byAlan Rickman, who was in his 50s when he first started playing the character.

Therefore, while the films cut out Peeves, it largely focused on the character Argus Filch.
While Peeves’ absence in the films has long been a point of contention among die-hard fans, the days of brooding are gone, for theHarry PotterTV reboot is set to bring the character to life. With the series stretching over multiple seasons, Peeves will not only get to appear on screen but also have plenty of opportunities to wreak havoc.
TheHarry PotterTV series is expected to premiere on Max in 2026 or 2027.
