Elon Musk always knew how to make headlines, but his latest stunt took things to a new low. Remember chasing Amber Heard? That was just the start. Now, Musk tried to brush off American racism with an absurd claim about our roots. Yep, he actually said we’re all descended from slaves. It’s a wild take that left people scratching their heads and side-eyeing Musk’s grasp on history.

Instead of sticking to rockets and electric cars, Musk seemed intent on twisting reality. When it comes to pushing boundaries (whether in tech or commentary) he sure knows how to aim for the most awkward misses.
Elon Musk sidesteps key questions on diversity standards
Elon Musk’s headline-grabbing antics hit a new low with his bizarre comments about race. In an awkward exchange with Don Lemon,Musk declaredthat “we are all descended from slaves,” a comment that sent shockwaves across social media. The man who once chased Amber Heard now seemed fixated on downplaying American racism with statements that were as erratic as they were misguided.
Musk, known for his disdain of DEI (diversity, equity, and inclusion) initiatives, spent months attacking these programs. He tied Boeing’s midflight mishap to DEI hiring policies and even suggested that prioritizing diversity over safety would result in plane crashes. It’s the kind of wild theory you’d expect from an online conspiracy forum, not the CEO ofSpaceX.

During the interview, Musk fumbled around defining terms like “woke” and sidestepped Lemon’s direct questions about DEI lowering entry standards in sectors like medicine. Instead, he pivoted, claiming his repost about DEI was just a hypothetical. Reality check: it wasn’t.
His dismissal of Tesla’s discrimination lawsuits — like the $3.2 million settlement for a Black former elevator operator — sounded almost careless. Musk waved it off, saying large buildings don’t always have perfect behavior.

Musk’s message was clear: Treat people as individuals based on character and skill. Yet, DEI programs exist because they address systemic barriers that Musk seemed intent on ignoring. His increasingly right-leaning rhetoric, ties to far-right theories, and endorsements of Donald Trump suggested Musk was preparing to throw his support behind a political shift that felt disturbingly familiar.
Elon Musk’s clearance limits: Foreign ties & drug rumors
Elon Musk couldn’t even step into SpaceX buildingstied to classified projects. His lawyers reportedly told him higher security clearances would mean revealing ties to foreign figures, like Russian leader Vladimir Putin. Add Musk’s rumored drug use (ketamine, LSD) to the mix, and a higher clearance becomes a logistical nightmare.
Currently holding only a “top-secret” clearance, Musk wasn’t allowed access to areas crucial for theStarshieldspy satellite program. Unlike competitors Boeing or Lockheed Martin, Musk missed out on intel about what classified cargo SpaceX was launching. This weirdly limits the CEO running the company.

Elon Musk’s clearance troubles started with his infamous 2018 Joe Rogan podcast appearance. Now, with Musk close to presidential circles, these constraints might soon change.
