McMahon has quite literally devoted his entire life in order to promote the show. But this journey of his wasn’t without its own set of controversies. In a recently resurfaced clip on X, his daughter Stephanie McMahon can be seen making a very controversial remark. She’s one of several individuals who featured in the documentary series based on the life of McMahon.

The series also follows WWE’s history, including the co-founder’ssexual assault allegations.However, in the said clip, his daughter can be seen talking about boxer Mike Tyson. The interviewer asked about WWE’s move to involve Tyson in 1998. For context, the boxer was arrested in1992 for sexually assaulting an 18-year-old. He then went on to serve three years of a six-year sentence.

Despite this, Tyson was able to make his wrestling debut in 1998 during WrestleMania 14. This was part of a major deal that was reportedly worth $3 million. The decision to bring Tyson on board was led by Vince McMahon and his son Shane McMahon and was seen as highly controversial at the time, given his criminal history.

The highly anticipated Netflix docuseriesMr. McMahonmade its debut on September 25, shedding light on the controversial history of WWE’s Vince McMahon. Despite its wide coverage of wrestling’s past, one notable absence is Madusa, the legendary wrestler also known as Alundra Blayze.

Madusa, renowned for her groundbreaking career in both WWF and WCW, was approached to participate in the series but chose to opt out. Her decision is particularly intriguing given her significant role in the wrestling world, including her tenure as a three-time WWF Women’s Champion.

In a podcast via1TS, Madusa shared that she was indeed contacted for an interview but decided against joining the project. She said:

They contacted me, they wanted me in this thing so bad. They contacted me, I don’t know, about a year ago, two years ago maybe. They were already starting this, and they were like, ‘It’ll be cool. Vince is involved. He’s doing it.’ I’m like, ‘Oh, that’s cool.’ I’m like, ‘No.’ I almost, I’m like, okay, if Vince is doing it…but something in my gut, I’m telling you, we all have that natural instinct, and you’ve got to follow your gut because that was my money-maker in this business.

Rob Van Dam, another notable wrestling figure, also turned down the offer to appear in Mr. McMahon. In apodcast, Van Dam explained that he was contacted multiple times for interviews but chose not to participate. He felt that joining the project would not align with his current position in the industry.
