Schwarzenegger was born with a congenital heart defect for which he has undergone heart surgery three times. But still, he snapped back soon to film the action movies.

Injuries can throw a wrench in the progress of these goals. So, the former bodybuilder chose to fight. He treated his physiotherapy as a daily workout. And through that, he was able to heal from his serious open-hurt surgery.
Arnold Schwarzenegger’s Positive Attitude Made Him Overcome Scary Open-Heart Surgery
Arnold Schwarzenegger remembered a scary moment while he was recovering from the open-heart surgery that left him“really freaking out.”
In a YouTube video posted byThe Pump, the Hollywood actor told how doctors told him,“We made a mistake.”It’s because the surgery that was meant to be non-invasive turned into an intensive procedure. And this caused internal bleeding, so doctors had to“open me up very quickly to save my life,”as he said.

The former governor of California asserted that at that time, he was set to begin filming 2019’sTerminator: Dark Fatein a few short months after the surgery. So his goal was to figure out how he could get out of the hospital and bounce back to shoot.
Schwarzenegger was able to do it and made a full recovery. He gave credit to his“positive attitude”and“whole support system”for helping him to recover.“By the time I started shooting ‘Terminator 6,’ I was all back together again,”he said in the video with a smile.
In 2018, Schwarzenegger had open-heart surgery to replace a pulmonary valve replacement. It was followed by a previous pulmonary valve replacement in 1997. The Austria native underwent surgery again in 2020 to replace an aortic valve.
