Following the tease from a few weeks ago, Creative Assembly andSegahave announced that the Chaos Dwarfs are finally coming toTotal War: Warhammer 3on April 13, with pre-orders now open for $22.49. The upcoming race pack will introduce the fan-favorite industrial faction, which can field siege weapons, infantries, and a mix of units to be victorious.
The Forge of the Chaos Dwarfs will be added as part of the update 3.0, which includes three Legendary Lords — Astaragoth Ironhand, Drazhoath the Ashen, and Zhatan the Black. They will also be joined by the Legendary Goblin Hero Gorduz Backstabber, with the group intending to build the Great Drill of Hashut. Together, they will team up to conquer both the known world and far more. Creative Assembly said that bringing three legendary lords with an additional hero is new for the studio, and they will follow this path for future releases.

The development team releaseda lengthy blog postdetailing the new race pack, touching on the basics of the economy, labor, and battles. The Chaos Dwarfs always need laborers to improve their civilization, meaning players must acquire them by defeating enemies in battle or via the convoy mechanic. Afterward, players can set them to work in mines to harvest raw materials. As for the most valuable resource for the Chaos Dwarfs, raw materials can be used to construct buildings and structures. They are also a necessity for creating armaments, which empower the dwarf’s military.
Players will be able to utilize factories and construct outposts to make the Chaos Dwarfs the strongest faction in the world. There is also the Tower of Zaharr, a political battleground of dwarfs that plays a pivotal role for the sake of their civilization. It allows players to try their hand at diplomacy to address conflicts between factions. “Vying for seats within the tower will grant a diverse range of bonuses and rewards to the Chaos Dwarfs.” Creative Assembly provided details on the benefits of the Tower of Zaharr. It also added, “the Tower of Zharr is one of the most in-depth, unique, and versatile campaign mechanics in Total War: WARHAMMER to date.”
