Tony Hawk’s Pro Skateris a timeless classic. A skateboarding game that became hugely popular worldwide. While this isn’t news about a new game from the legend himself, it is news about the previous titles…sort of. Tony Hawk has announced that a new documentary “Pretending I’m a Superman” will be screening later this month.
The documentary. thatwe reported on back in 2017, focuses on the originalTony Hawk’s Pro Skatertitles and has been created by Ralph D’Amato, a former Neversoft producer who worked on the games. It’s also directed by Ludvig Gür and has Austin Droguett as director of photography.
“Pretending I’m a Superman” is a new documentary about the THPS series, made by a former producer of the game. First screening will be at @mammothfilmfestival on Feb 29 and I’ll be there with Rodney Mullen and the filmmakers for a panel discussion afterwards. Join us there and/or at the afterparty with @thedownhilljam playing hits from THPS at @mammothrocknbowl. Tickets / info: @thpsfilm or mammothfilmfestival.org 🛹🎮🎬
