It looks like his courage and dedication have even impacted Henry Cavill.

Henry Cavill worked with Tom Cruise inMission: Impossible – Fallout, where the former played the role of antagonist August Walker. The film presented both the stars in action avatars pulling off some of the most breathtaking stunts. As Cavill is all set to release his upcoming action flick,Argylle, the actor shares how he tried to learn several aspects of action from Cruise.

How did Tom Cruise impact Henry Cavill?
Henry Cavillbecame one of the most fan-favorite stars following two iconic pop culture roles. While he was one of the best versions of Superman, the role of Witcher also played a crucial part in his career. Now, he is all set to appear as the titular character in Matthew Vaughn’s upcoming action comedy spy film.
Argyllefeatures theMan of Steelactor in several action sequences. While speaking about those onExtra TV, he was asked if his friend,Tom Cruisegave him any advice on stunts. Cavill responded that although Cruise did not give him any advice, he was impressed and inspired by the legend’s dedication to his craft.

“I don’t know if he’s necessarily given me any particular advice. It’s more about just watching the dedication he puts into stuff and that’s advice all in itself.”
There was a tap dancing sequence of Henry Cavill and Sam Rockwell in the upcoming film that was ultimately cut. TheEnola Holmesactor looked insecure about only Cruise doing his stunts. He jokingly added that similar to how Tom Cruise performs all his stunts, he and Rockwell also learned how to tap dance for the film.

“For example, he comes to a movie having learned how to stunt fly a helicopter; we learned how to tap dance a little bit.”
Henry Cavill acknowledged that it is a different level of dedication to give your 100% to whatever you do. TheJustice Leagueactor admitted that he and Rockwell also tried to bring such dedication to the upcoming film and perform their stunts even though it was very difficult.

Henry Cavill on the tough action set pieces inArgylle
While speaking about Tom Cruise’s dedication to action, Henry Cavill revealed that he and Sam Rockwell tried their best to do their stunts and create similar magic on the screen. However, he also opened up on the nature of the action set pieces inArgylleand explained how they were difficult to pull up.
Cavill explained that his action sequences needed the actors to watch each other fight and try to mimic to some extent.
“It’s a lot of time spent watching each other perform the fight because normally, if you’re doing your bit then everyone says, ‘Okay, we’re going to move another actor and work with them. You can sit down and relax,’ but with Sam and I… the important bit was watching the other actor so we could try and mimic them to a degree.”

It seems like the actors are quite successful in doing their job well asArgyllehas got positive responses at its London premiere. The film is described as a fun adventure and a perfect blend of action, comedy, and espionage thriller.
