Rapper Nicki Minaj is currently on her concert tour titledPink Friday 2 World TourorGag City Tour.It began in March 2024 and is the fourth solo concert tour in her career. It will consist of a total of 82 shows across three continents. Not only is the tour the highest-grossing concert tour of Nicki Minaj’s career, but it is also the highest-grossing tour ever by a female rapper. Needless to say, things were looking up for the rapper.
That is, until she arrived at the Amsterdam Schiphol Airport where she was allegedly detained for a brief period of time on suspicion of carrying soft drugs in her luggage. Nicki Minaj filmed her conversation with one of the airport officials and posted it on her social media, where she then went on about how this was all a conspiracy to stop her from performing.
Nicki Minaj was Allegedly Arrested at the Amsterdam Airport
The Dutch national police agency, Royal Netherlands Marechaussee, took to its social media recently, where theypostedabout anarrestthey had made. The arrest was of a 41-year-old American woman at the Schiphol Airport who was the center of suspicion by the police for“exporting soft drugs.”The post added that after consultation, the woman was released after paying a fine and was free to continue her journey.

While they did not name the woman in question,Nicki Minajposted a video on her social media accounts, including Instagram. In the video, a man can be seen telling the rapper,“The police officer told me we have to offload all your luggage and to search everything of your luggage.”When Minaj asked if they searched her luggage before it got on the plane, the man said that they did a“random quick check”but now wanted to open up her bags and do it properly.
“Why?”asked Minaj, and the man’s reply was,
First of all, because you filmed him and he was like – He doesn’t believe you don’t have more with you than you said.
While posting the video of the ordeal on herInstagram, Minaj accompanied it with a caption that blamed the authorities for deliberately trying to sabotage her successful tour.

It is important to note that Cannabis is illegal in the Netherlands but is allowed for recreational use. On X, Minaj went into detail about everything she went through at the airport.

In a series of tweets, Minaj stated that“they”have been trying their best to do whatever they can to “TRY”to stop herPink Friday 2tour. She added that they took her luggage away, and when she asked where it was, the officials told her that it was on the plane. Minaj stated that this couldn’t have been possible since she had“just pulled up.”

TheBarbie Worldrapper stated that she didn’t give them her bags in the first place and that after taking them away, they weren’t allowing her to see them. Minaj then alleged that they were being paid“big money”to ruin her tour because of how successful it was. She added that many people are mad at her tour’s success because they“can’t eat off”her.

Next, Minaj stated that they found weed in her luggage and that another group of people, who were not there yet, had to come in and weigh the drugs to verify they were not over the allowed limit. Since those who were going to weigh the drugs were not on the scene yet, Minaj alleged that this was all done to make her late for the show.
