Daredevil: Born Againis arguably one of the most anticipated projects in the MCU for 2025, despite the franchise dropping three big-budget films in the coming year. The revival, which will continue the story of Matt Murdock from his stint over at Netlfix, has been teased to have a cameo that fans will not expect.
According to showrunner Dario Scardpane, a character that fans do not expect to show up in the series will be making an appearance. The cast is already stacked with a slew of characters like The Punisher and White Tiger who will be littering the streets of Hell’s Kitchen, but there is one character who could also make an appearance in the story.
Spider-Man could return a favor to Matt Murdock
Matt Murdock has a surprise cameo inSpider-Man: No Way Home, finally bridging the gap between the Netflix side of the MCU with the main timeline. Given that Peter Parker was erased from people’s minds, Matt is not likely to remember the character. But given the personal touch that Nelson, Murdock & Page give to their clients, no matter how big or small, could mean that they were probably shocked to hear about May Parker’s death, and are still representatives of Happy Hogan.

This means that Peter Parker while keeping an eye on the people he loved, like MJ, Ned, and Happy, might also cross paths with the likes of Matt. Perhaps Matt will be visiting May Parker’s grave, as a courtesy, and finding Peter there, or given that there was a time when Spider-Man and Peter Parker were identified as the same person, Matt could still consider himself Spider-Man’s lawyer, and share some screen time with him in his show. This could also directly lead toSpider-Man 4, if Marvel plays its cards right.

Daredevil has made an appearance inShe-Hulk: Attorney at Law. It would not be surprising for her to pop intoDaredevil: Born Againas well, given the relationship that they have started towards the end of the show.
However, Matt has a new love interest, so that is unlikely. The cameo trading could also be true forEcho, who had Matt Murdock appear in her show. However, the leader directors on the show,Justin Bensonand Aaron Moorehead, areMoon Knightalums, who would fit right into the Daredevil mythos. The showrunner of the show even said:

Of course, it can be expected that Daredevil’s old Defenders buddies like Iron First, Luke Cage, and Jessica Jones might make an appearance in the show, possibly setting up a bigger street-level scene for the MCU. It is also a possibility that a completely contrasting tone of a character could make their way into the show as well, such as Kamala Khan, or Kate Bishop.
