So much so that the former ended up gifting the latter one of his famous coconut cakes for Christmas. Only, Cavill wasn’t as appreciative when he first saw it.

More specifically, Cruise has gained a reputation for gifting his past co-stars and friends a coconut cake for Christmas. This cake, on its own, has made a name for being absolutely delicious.
Many famous names are on his gifting list, according toPeople, ranging from Miles Teller and Cobie Smulders to Tom Hanks and Angela Bassett.

It would seem that after starring inMission: Impossible – Fallout,Henry Cavillwas also added to this list. During an appearance onJimmy Kimmel Live, the actor revealed that one Christmas, he ended up receiving a cake from the actor, and his reaction was perhaps one of the most unique out of the bunch.

Although receiving a Christmas gift from Cruise, on its own, is a very big feat, Cavill seemed to be more focused on the gesture than the cake itself. He confessed that one of the first thoughts that he had when he saw the cake was that he would definitely not be eating it.
I thought ‘there’s no way I’m eating that’. It’s gonna be made of healthy stuff. This is Christmas. I don’t do healthy at Christmas.

The reason for this was because Cavill was convinced that the actor would send him something healthy on Christmas. Since Cruise is known for being extremely fit, the actor assumed that the cake would be very healthy and mentioned that he does not like being healthy on Christmas.
Henry Cavill Was Very Wrong
It is safe to say that Henry Cavill judged Tom Cruise’s cake far too quickly. However, he learned his lesson very quickly, as he revealed in the interview. The actor revealed that after he put the cake to the side, one of his friends came over to his house and asked about the cake.
[They] saw the cake sitting there and said ‘what’s that?’. I said ‘that’s a cake from Tom Cruise’, and they said ‘sorry, say that again’. I said ‘that’s a cake from Tom Cruise’ and they said ‘why aren’t you eating it?’.

The actor bluntly mentioned that the cake was from theMission: Impossibleactor. While they processed this piece of information on its own, they asked Cavill why he hadn’t eaten it yet. Although the actor did give his explanation, they decided to cut the cake anyway to see if he was right about his assumption.
I said ‘it’s probably healthy’, and they went ‘cut it open’. I cut it open and it is the most luxurious, unhealthy coconut cake. And so, I then ate the whole thing.

Cavill very quickly learned that his assumption could not be further from the truth, with the cake being extremely unhealthy and delicious. With this, the actor revealed that he ended up eating the entire thing himself. One may safely say that Cruise is an excellent gift giver.
