No matter how you playElden Ring, there are always going to be plenty of hurdles for you to jump over before you make some headway, but one giant hurdle that many players stumbled on was the infamous Firegiants.

Elden Ring Already Has Plenty of Annoying Enemies, but These Ones Take the Cake

Since its first ever trailer, players have had plenty ofglimpses of the Firegiant as it lumbers its way aroundthe Lands of Shadows it calls home, but once the DLC finally dropped, players have come to realise that it isn’t all it cracked up to be.

Back when the Firegiant made its first appearance, players believed it would likely be a boss that they would have to encounter in order to progress through the game; instead, it is a roaming boss that, if the player desires, can be ignored.

For those who didn’t ignore these burning atrocities, they have felt the wrath of fire and would likely choose to never step foot near these enemies again, as their large health pool and resistance to attacks have caused plenty of players to struggle.

To defeat these enemies, players are required to deal enough damage to one of the Firegiants legs to cause it to fall to the ground, leading to an opening for a visceral attack that deals a massive amount of damage.

For a first encounter, this may be rather simple, but as the DLC continues, they become tougher, with armoured legs, and in some cases, they can only be destroyed by throwing explosive pots into their heads, something most players wouldn’t even think of.

The Annoying Mechanics to Defeat These Enemies Aren’t the Only Issue Players Are Coming Across

Being able to defeat these enemies does become easier with time once you have the rhythm anditems necessary to defeat them, but one issue that is causing players to throw their controllers is the grab attack.

In a lot of cases, being grabbed by an enemy inElden Ringcan be survived if you have enough health and armour, but being grabbed by the Firegiant can sometimes be another story.

Once you have been grabbed, you will be lifted up into the Firegiants cauldron of a head as it flushes you down into its burning maw. For most grab attacks, players can spam the dodge button to escape quicker, but the Firegiant doesn’t provide this mercy.

For most players, this is a death sentence like no other, and with the hit boxes being rather messy, most players die to this grab attack even with plenty of space to avoid it.
