Whether that’s someWitchergaming news, information about the highly anticipatedsecond seasonof Netflix’sThe Witcher, or some outstandingWitcherfan art, you can be guaranteed to satisfy all your monster hunter needs and more right here. From personally contributing to many ofThe Witcher 3fan art articles, I’ve come across many talented artists whose knack for creating stunning pieces of art is out of this world but, until now, I have never seenThe Witcherfan art made entirely out of pyrography and it’s an absolute joy to watch.
The Burning Easel Artover on Facebook is a place for those who love a strange and darker touch to their artwork. Using the technique of pyrography which is the freehanded art of decorating wood or other materials with burn marks with tools such as a heated iron,The Burning Easelcreates hauntingly beautiful creations. As we can see from the picture below, the artist has used this method to produce a stunning picture ofGeralt of RiviaandCirifromThe Witcher 3: Wild Hunt. Having firstly traced out the desired art imprint onto the wood, the artist then uses a wood-burning iron to glide over the outlines. Depending on shading, the iron can be manipulated by either lightly holding it or applying pressure to create a deeper tone to the artwork. As you can see in some of the close-up images of the artwork, the amount of details that has gone into the piece is astounding.
Another nice touch is the added candle in the photo-shoot of the wood-burned drawing and also the model who is holding it seems to be dressed as Yennefer herself giving the exhibition a real witchery feel. After finishing the piece, the artist added on decorated small adhesive jewels to Ciri’s strap. Having spent about 32 hours completing the piece, not including the painting itself, it was ready to show off. For those of you who loveKilling Eve, you’ll notice a familiar face in the next season. Kim Bodnia, who plays the role of Konstantin in the spy-action thriller, will play Geralt’s father figure and the oldestWitcheron the continent,Vesemir.
