The Masked Singeris back with its latest 12 seasons and brought a hoard of new singers, disguised under various stage names and wearing ridiculously colorful costumes. A one-of-a-kind singing competition part of the South Korean show,King of Mask Singerfranchise, its latest season recently premiered.
Hosted by Nick Cannon and chaired by a panel of judges which included Rita Ora, Ken Jeong, Jenny McCarthy Wahlberg, and Robin Thicke, already deliberations are being made about who might be under the mask. Having Joel McHale as her Masked Ambassador, Showbird performed a beautiful cover ofMary J. Bilge’sJust Finein her first performance on the show. Already in the second leg of the competition, the judges all guessed the masked singer’s identity, taking names like Jennifer Hudson and Taraji P. Henson.

But the clues all point that it is a possibility that Showbird might beYvette Nicole Brown. Furthermore, Showbird described herself as a total nerd and tomboy growing up and held up a book titled Advanced Singing 401, which might be another clue to Brown’s role in theCommunity.
Stating that she is humble, low-key, and modest, the contestant shocked everyone when she banged a gold Judge’s gavel, another possible hint to Brown’s Emmy-nominated role inA Black Lady Sketch Show. A popcorn bucket became another clue, which is yet another possible hint pointing at Borwn’s role as a movie theatre manager in the teen comedy seriesDrake & Josh.

Another one ofThe Masked Singer’scontestants that garnered huge attention is Ship. Backed by the former season 6 winner Jewel as her Masked Ambassador, she has a great relationship with her ambassador. As per her performance and her introduction, Ship states that her career started with a bang and sailed at a high speed but she soon lost control. Furthermore, Cole and Jewel had a great relationship at the start of their careers, and Jewel sent a gift/hint to the singer in the form of a silver cowboy hat.
