Fans ofYellowstoneare still waiting for the final chapter in the Western drama series created by Taylor Sheridan. For several reasons, production on the second half of the show’s final season has been delayed and there is currently no concrete information on when it will resume.
Despite the delays, actor Cole Hauser is optimistic about plans for the remaining episodes. In a recent interview, Hauser revealed he was excited to return to work on the show despite recently running into a legal conflict with series creator Taylor Sheridan. In November 2023, it was reported that actorCole Hauser‘s coffee brand, Free Rein Coffee Company,was sued by Bosque Ranch, owned by Sheridanfor alleged trademark infringement. As a result, there were whispers of things not being well between Hauser and Sheridan.
However, in a recent interview withPeople, Hauser hinted that he has set aside his feud to finish work on the remaining episode ofYellowstone‘s final season. Hauser expressed excitement about reuniting with Sheridan for the new episodes and stated the following:
“I think he’s going to direct some [episodes]. So I’m excited about that. Just get back up in Montana and go to work.”

Additionally, Hauser implied that his character’s resonance with the American audience was the primary reason he was excited to return to the Western drama.
“That still is something that people want. An American kind of simplicity… a dream of the American man.”
Hauser made the above statement regarding the values his character represents in the series. The actor added that his character was an acknowledgment of what the people of the USA are seeking.

While speaking toPeople, Hauser also revealed that he and creatorTaylor Sheridanwere initially surprised by the positive reaction to his character Rip Wheeler, despite his negative shades. Hauser explained that it was surprising to see the character resonate with viewers, especially because of Rip’s animalistic nature.
“What makes [Rip] special is that he has an unbelievable heart too. I mean, his loyalty is to not only the Dutton family, but to Beth [Dutton], and his kindness, other than wanting to kill people times, is just, to me, it’s the best of both worlds to be able to play.”
Hauser made the above statement underlining what makes his character resonate with the audience apart from his American values.
