Fortnitehas added the Solid Snake skin as part of its collaboration with theMetal Gear Solidfranchise, and players are now able to play with Snake after weeks of waiting. The mid-season update brings new Battle Pass quests for players to complete and unlock the Solid Snake skin and themed rewards. Solid Snake is the latest addition to the game withFamily Guy‘s Peter Griffin.
While theFortniteandMetal Gear Solidcrossover has made long-time fans of the franchise happy, many are angry withFortnitefor what they are calling“massacring”Snake and have bashed the developers for poor treatment of the iconic character.

The latestFortniteupdate adds Old Snake fromMetal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriotsas well as Raiden fromMetal Gear Solid 2. Players were hoping that the Raiden outfit would be from the spinoff titleMetal Gear Rising: Revengeance,but were left disappointed. Thetrailershowcased Solid Snake and Raiden going invisible and taking on enemies, as well as different cosmetics for the characters.
As much as fans have loved seeing their favorite characters in the game, they are also angry. Fans are angry about the character models, which look cartoonish, with many spamming“This is not Solid Snake.”Fans of the franchise also bashed the developers for the bad graphics and the fact that it looks like a mobile game, adding thatFortnitewill ruin theMetal Gearfranchise.
Players said that Snake looks“funny”and like he’s“mewing.”Players also added thatFortnitehas added the worst version of the character and thatMetal Gear Solid 4has ruined the character. Moreover, some also did not want to see the characters in the game.
The character models turned most heads in the wrong way with being skinny and Snake’s flat bum, which also came under fire when it was announced that Solid Snake would be coming to the game. Players have also called out Konami, saying that it does not care about the franchise anymore and that bringing Snake intoFortniteis just a PR stunt for theMetal Gear Solidremakes.
A player stated,“Fortnite, the place where all things we loved go to die.”Players also added that if Snake and Raiden were added to the game, it would have been nice to see stealth and hack-and-slash styles for the characters.
Genuinely why is snake in fortnite, mgs is not popular with the kids. How did this happen, I guess Konami doesn’t give a fuck anymore, and the remasters just came out…but, fortnite?? Do the children know about les enfants terribles secretly, are they based??

As part of the collaboration, players interested in playing with Snake can also unlock outfits, emotes, banner icons, and loading screens by completing challenges along with the Solid Snake outfit, but they need to have the Big Bang Battle Pass, which can be purchased using 950 V-Bucks or $9.
