To get theWhite Sword of the Skywithoutusing Amiibo, you will have to complete The Mother Goddess Statue Quest. you may start this quest by interacting with any of three large goddess statues scattered across Hyrule or going to the source itself: The Forgotten Temple. These larger Goddess Statues are different from the regular goddess statues you use toincrease Link’s health and staminaorpower up a sage’s abilities.
Updated by Hamza Haq on July 6th, 2023: Crafting the White Sword of the Seven is an involved process that will see you traveling to all corners of Hyrule in search of rare materials that cannot be farmed just be exploring regularly. New links have been added to make this journey easier for players and give more context. We’ve also fixed the image detailing Farosh’s route to be more accurate in light of new information.

Starting The Quest
To start the Mother Goddess Statue Quest properly, travel to theForgotten Templeby using theMayausiy Shrine(or theLindor’s Brow Skyview Towerif you haven’t unlocked it yet). This is also where you need to go to progress theImpa and the Geoglyphsquestline.
There is a large toppled Goddess Statue just past the archway in front of the shrine(-1070, 2656, -0084). Interact with the Mother Goddess Statue, and you will see a short line of text but little else. This will start the Mother Goddess Statue Quest.

To undertake this quest, you will have tovisit three Goddess Statuesand give each of them one Dragon Claw from one of theroaming Dragonsthat fly over Hyrule.
There are three subquests in total:
After you finish these three quests, return to the Mother Goddess Statue to find it restored, and you will receive the White Sword of the Sky as a reward.
If you’ve already visited the other Statues scattered around Hyrule, you’ll get an update in their quest logs once you interact with the toppled Mother Goddess statue.

Even though youcantechnically start their respective quests by visiting them before going to the Forgotten Temple, you can’t progress those quests without having made the pilgrimage to the large toppled statue first.

Goddess Statue Of Wisdom Quest
Immediately to theeast ofMount Lanayru Skyview Tower, you’ll find a pond of water with the statue inside(3919, -1332, 0466). Interact with the Goddess Statue there. It will ask you about the Mother Goddess Statue. If you haven’t visited the Mother Goddess Statue in the Forgotten Temple, this statue will ask you to find it first before returning to it.
But, if you’re all caught up, the statue will ask you tofind Naydra’s Claw.
How To Get Naydra’s Claw
Naydrafollows a pre-set path starting from theNaydra Snowfield Chasmthat’s rght under the shadow ofMount Lanayru Skyview Towerand ending at theEast Hill ChasmbehindKakariko Village. you may either wait for Naydra to emerge from the Naydra Snowfield Chasm or find it somewhere along its route. We found him in the depths at around 2:00 pm near a lightroot.
Naydra emits afreezing auraaround him that can freeze you if you get caught in it.Bring cold resistance clotheslike theSnowquill Setor some cold resistance food to avoid losing health as you approach him.
Once you’re ready, find Naydra and reach him by using the paraglidernear him and riding the updraft. If Naydra is too high up when you see him, you can easily reach him by using aflying Zonai vehicleif you have one saved inAutobuild.
When you’re in range, use abowto shoot a single arrow at one of Naydra’s Claws—it doesn’t matter which one. The Claw will fall down, emitting a strong radiance as it falls down, just like aStar Fragment.
Follow it down and avoid losing sight of it as it falls.Interact with the Claw on the ground by pressing A, and you’ll get Naydra’s Claw.
Now, head back to the Goddess Statue to complete the quest.Drop Naydra’s Claw in front of the statue in the springwaterand wait for a small cutscene to finish to indicate you’ve successfully completed the Goddess Statue Of Wisdom Quest.
Dragons alsodrop other itemslike Scales and Horns if you hit the right spot with a weapon. However, if you farm a Scale, you will need to wait 10 minutes to get the Claw from a dragon. The spikes on the back lose their glow and become dull after losing a scale. Wait 10 minutes for these spikes to regain their luster before attempting to get more materials from them. Or reload.
Goddess Statue Of Power Quest
North ofUlri Mountain Skyview Tower, head to thecoordinates 3757, 2674, 0002and interact with the Goddess Statue there. It will ask you about the Mother Goddess Statue, and Link will inform it about the toppled statue. Exhaust its dialogue, and you will be asked tobring the statue Dinraal’s Claw.

How To Get Dinraal’s Claw
Dinraalfollows a route along the East Akkala Region, beginning at theEast Akkala Plains Chasmnear theSinatanika Shrineand ending at the chasm behindThyphlo Ruins Skyview Tower.
You can usuallyfind him emerging from the east chasm at around 8:00 pm. Dinraal constantly emits unbearably hot flames from his body, soyou’ll need fire resistanceto get close to him. You can buy theFlamebreaker Armor Setfrom Goron City or make some fire resistance food.
Once you’re ready and see him exiting the chasm, jump inside andride the updraftusing your paraglider to climb on top of him.To get Dinraal’s Claw, you will have to shoot his Claw using a bow with a single arrow(multi-shot bowsdon’t work).
The Claw will drop down, emittinga bright lightto indicate its travel path. Dive after it to avoid losing sight.Press A to pick it upand head back to the Goddess Statueto hand it over.
Drop Dinraal’s Claw at the statue’s feet(in the water), and a small cutscene will play. With this, the Goddess Statue Of Power Quest will be marked complete.
If a Dragon manages to fly too far away and you miss it, it’s advisable to travel to another fast-travel location that’s far enough away that you cannot see it and travel back to the nearest fast-travel point after waiting a day. If you use the in-game waiting mechanic of creating a fire and interacting with it, the dragon will not travel any distance since it will not travel while it’s in render range.

How To Get Farosh’s Claw
Faroshstarts his route from theEast Gerudo Chasm nearGerudo Canyon Skyview Towerand goes back to the Depths at theHills of Baumer Chasm besides theKamizun Shrine. We found him emerging from the East Gerudo Chasm at 10:30 pm, but you can find him anywhere along his route if you have the necessaryfast-travel spotsunlocked.
Unlike Dinraal and Naydra,Farosh doesn’t require you to have any sort of resistanceto approach him. However,be careful of the lightning ballsthat spin around his head, as they not only deal damage but also force Link to drop all his equipment.
Once you’re ready, jump near him, activate yourparaglider, and ride the updraft to get some height.Use your bow to activate time-slow and shoot at one of his claws with asingle arrow. The Claw will fall down, so chase after it. Interact with it on the ground, and you will get Farosh’s Claw.
Go back to the quest-giver statue anddrop Farosh’s Claw in the spring in front of the statue, and a short cutscene will play, indicating you succeeded. The statue will reward you with aTopaz, and the Goddess Statue of Courage quest will be complete.
