Landman, a hit show that Taylor Sheridan has put out, has already landed itself in some controversy. While the show has been getting some great press for the story, there has been a very odd aspect of the show that has fans feeling miffed.
The vibe of the scenes between Michelle Randolph’s Ainsley, who is the daughter of Billy Thornton’s Tommy Norris, and the latter, have been deemed to be a little more than creepy by the fandom. This has led to much internet outrage and ridicule about the nature of the plotline, even if only a few episodes have hit the airwaves so far.

A particular scene between Ainsley and Thornton has gotten fans very creeped out
WhileTaylor Sheridanhas been largely appreciated for all the work that he has put into his television ventures, it seems that a scene fromLandmanhas become quite the negative sensation online, whereBilly Thornton‘s Tommy talks about his daughter’s sex life with her, which has rubbed a lot of fans the wrong way. A slew of outrages and parodies have taken over the internet, the kind that has gotten a lot of people asking why Taylor Sheridan would be writing something like that at all.

That pretty much sums it up LMAO 🤣

As pointed out by some fans, this is something that has been a disturbing trend in shows that Sheridan has written, especially in break-out shows likeYellowstoneandLandman. Fans have been wondering why Taylor Sheridan felt the need to include such scenes, as a few have also gone out of their way to say that characters like Ainsley are not even required in the story.
Fans want Taylor Sheridan to quit these storylines asap
Landmanhas a great story, focusing on the small but robust oil industry that is indigenous to Southern America. Fans are really not happy with this repeating pattern in Sheridan’s works, which has largely caused a lot of people to turn off an otherwise great show.

Similar issues were faced even by shows likeGame of Thrones, which was also criticized for its gratuitous sex scenes and general raunchiness, which did little to advance the plot of the story and functioned more as shock and awe than anything else.
