AStarfieldmodder who has created 166 unique mods forBethesda’s space RPG says they’re doing it “to keep the game alive.” From new weapons and armour to gigantic mech overlord bosses, if you’ve modded Starfield, you’ve likely run into at least one of this user’s amazing creations.

While Starfield has a generally favourableMetacritic score of 83, the overall fan consensus on what was arguably the most anticipated game of 2023 is definitely less than favourable. Itsoverall Steam ratingis “mixed,” while its user score on Metacritic is currently sitting at 6.9. Thankfully, the modding community has dedicated their skills to making Starfield the game its community hoped for.

Starfield Player May Have Stumbled Upon A Salad Fingers Reference

Well, someone certainly likes rusty spoons.

Months before Bethesda added the ability to see individual star names on the map, a moddertook it upon themselves to give the people what they wanted. And this is just one of the many examples of how the modding community has given the game’s playerbase highly requested features before Starfield’s developer could.

WhileStarfield’s modding community continues to dominatethe mod charts, one user has been putting in the work to give the people what they want.

Starfield Modders Has Created 166 Different Mods

Starfield modder Inquisitor has created almost 170 different Starfield mods, ranging fromglowing ship modulestobigger ship size limits, and they’re receiving plenty of praise for their efforts over on the Starfield subreddit.

“If you’re looking for some kino mods this guy is a great place to start! Seriously, Inquisitor has been making awesome mods from the start and I’ve been using a lot of them in all my play-throughs,“Reddit user Senpatty said. While5fives5 said, “Good work! Starfield has so much Mod potential so I’m glad for people like you.”

When asked if they planned on bringing their mods to Xbox once official mod support is released, Inquisitor said, “I certainly plan on it! If I learn and if it is possible to port all of them, I will do my best to port all of them.”

As part ofStarfield’s end-of-year update, Bethesda said it would be adding official mod support with the launch of Creations. “Beginning early next year, Starfield will be getting its own exporter and you’ll have access to a new Creation Kit. Modding has always been an enormous part of our games, with incredible community-made content constantly bringing fresh new experiences. With the scale and systems in Starfield, we can’t wait to see what you come up with,” Bethesda said back in 2023.

There’s still no word on when official mod support for Starfield will be released, but with such a huge community behind it, there are sure to be even more spectacular creations on the horizon.
