The long-awaitedStarfieldland vehicles update has been leaked again, this time witha gameplay clip showing a space rover in action.
This Immersive Starfield Mod Finally Lets You Travel Through Space With Autopilot
The Astrogate mod does what Bethesda couldn’t.
Traversing Starfield’s 1000-plus planets will soon be less tedious, thanks to the inclusion of highly anticipated land vehicles. Recent leaks offer a glimpse into the new traversal option, a seeminglyfast space rover equipped with thrusters.
The leak appearedon 4chan andincludes a first-person driving clip.Concept artand an in-game screenshot were also leaked, revealing the full scale of the doorless space buggy.WhileBethesdahas yet to clarify the details about the new traversal options, the land vehicle seems to bethe only one based on the leaks online.

Months before the leaks, Bethesda alluded to these new traversal options ina Reddit post. It seems like that update is right around the corner, as a gameplay video of the land vehicle has once again appeared.
While it’s best to take it with a pinch of salt, the clip does seem legitimate. It showcases a space buggy riding pretty fast, possibly on Jemison. Thanks to its thrusters, it also jumps over geographical obstacles.

Starfield’s Planets Are Probably Not Designed For Land Vehicles
While new traversal options have been in popular demand since launch,Starfield’splanets do not feel like they have been designed to be explored with a jumping space buggy.
They serve as refined sandboxes meant to be explored by walking, especially considering the restrictive planet boundaries.

Make no mistake,Starfielddefinitely has a lot to offer, thanks to Bethesda’s great talent at tailoring impressive quests and impressive storylines. However, braving its procedural wonders and perils can be quite exhausting due to the lack of traversal options and repetitive landmarks.
That’s why on-foottraversal in Starfieldis not something to look forward to,whereas it gave way to a genuine sense of exploration inSkyrimand the Wasteland inFalloutgames.

It seems like Bethesda is trying to change that, as they have consistently released updates to address player feedback and drive the game’s resurgence.
Notably, they’ve improved city navigation withmore detailed mapsin previous updates. Most recently, the June update introduced the ammo crafting system and revamped melee weapon stats, and it also caused players toreview bomb the game on Steam.
These updates are indeed crucial for those who are sticking withStarfield, but it remains to be seen if they will effectively stimulate new and returning interest in Starfield in the future.
