Resources are required to build mods for your spacesuits, helmets, and boost packs, along with various attachments to your weapons. All of these things, along with the various devices and decorations for your outpost, will need to be researched and built, all of which require specific resources.
How To Track Resources
To track any resources you need, you’ll first need tobe in a menu where you use resources, such as an outpost building menu, apartment decoration menu, weapon or spacesuit workbench, or research station. All of these menus give you different options of what to build, and alist of resources that will need to be used.Tracking resources willhave you tracking all the resources of a project you decide on.
When looking at a specific project, press “R” on PC and “X” on Xbox to track all the resources in that project. They will then get amagnifying glass icon next to their namewhenever you see them in a menu. Youcan track multiple projects at once, but this will make it less clear which resources you need when finding them in the wild.

How To Untrack Resources
The gamedoesn’t automatically untack resources for you. The magnifying glass iconwill stay no matter how much of that resource is collectedand will only go away bygoing back to the project you’re tracking and pressing the same button you did to track the resources for that project. This meansit’s very important for you to press the Untrack button whenever you go back to finish a project,as finishing a project also won’t untrack the resources.
If you complete a project without clearing your tracking data for those resources, they will continue to have the magnifying glass icon. You’ll need tofindanother project to trackthat has the already tracked resources and untrack itright away to clear the icon on the original resource. It’s best togo to a Research Station and cycle through all of the projectsthere, as there are many options, and you’re more likely to find the resources you need to untrack.
