Starfield’s maps may be helpful when quickly traveling from one solar system to the next, but aren’t the best for navigating cities or local areas of a planet. Surface maps only highlight majorfast-travel locationson a planet, leaving players to find other locations the old-fashioned way.

The city ofNew Atlantisis huge and split up into multiple different sections. While a few major sections are easy to find and have fast travel locations to, other areas, such as The Well, are more difficult to come across.

How To Find The Well
The Well is theunderground section of New Atlantisfor the not-as-wealthy class that lives in the city. The easiest way to reach the Well is bystarting at the Starportandwalking through thesecurity scanneras you enter the city. Head to the central statute andlook to the left to see theTerrabrewsign.Walk towards this store andhead into the alcove to the left of the store, looking to the left wall to see an elevator. Thiselevator can be used to take you down to The Well.
You can also enter the Well from the MAST tram station. After gettingoff the tram in the MAST district, head to the far right wall to see a large elevatorthat can also be taken down to another part of the Well. There is also a way to enter The Well byfollowing the underground path from The Lodge, but this is a simple and long path to follow, and it’s actuallyeasier tofast-travelsomewhere else and walk to one of the other entrances.

What Is In The Well
The Well is a very populated section of the city, full of residences and stores to shop at. The Well is thelocation of the first apartmentyou can get in New Atlantis by joining The Vanguard.Despite the overall look and feel of The Well, it isheavily policedby the UC, and the guards have their own outpost and jailfor criminals caught in The Well. To reach your apartment in The Well after obtaining it, head into The Well through the elevator near Terrabrew. Walk down the street until youpass The Medbay and take a left, taking the next right and heading up the stairs.Straight ahead will be your apartment.
