Ubisoft has dropped the official story trailer for its upcoming game,Star Wars Outlaws. The game, the events of which take place between The Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi, has been in production since 2021. Hence, fans have been eagerly waiting for its release for a long time but the game’s hefty price tag has left many disappointed.

Ubisoft has been under scrutiny for the insane price tag. However, fans are sure that the game will be available at a heavy discount shortly after its release, given how much loss Ubisoft suffered in the 2022-2023 fiscal year. On top of this, Ubisoft got rid of a significant number of employees in an attempt to cut costs.

Ubisoft’s upcoming action-adventure game,Star Wars Outlaws, is now available for preordering after Ubisoft dropped the game’s official story trailer. There are a lot of discussions and debates about the game but its hefty price is something that everyone collectively hates.

Is Ubisoft trying to cover up for the losses it faced in 2023?

By May 2023, Ubisoft revealed the statistics and as perReuters, Ubisoft revealed a full-year non-IFRS operating loss of €500.2 million ($550.6 million). The majority of this loss came from game cancellations and delays.
