Dramatic Labs, the developers behind the upcoming release of Star Trek: Resurgence, haveannouncedthat it will be delayed until April of 2023.Taking to their official Twitter account to confirm the delay, Dramatic Labs said, “we have made the difficult decision to move our release date out of 2022 in order to give the game a final coat of polish, and create a truly immersive Star Trek experience”. Following on from the disappointing announcement, Dramatic Labs then shared a handful ofnew screenshotsfrom Star Trek: Resurgence, giving fans a peak into how the game will look when it launches in April 2023.
Star Trek: Resurgence was originally revealed in December of 2021, and will be a narrative adventure game featuring dialogue choices, relationship building, and exploration. Resurgence will also allow players to engage with the world with various other gameplay elements, such as shuttle piloting, phaser fights, tricorder scanning, stealth, and micro-gameplay mechanics.
For die-hard Star Trek fans, Resurgence will take place in the year 2380 and immediately follows on from the Star Trek: The Next Generation feature films. Resurgence will be a single-player experience with no micro-transactions or DLC expansions.
Star Trek: Resurgence will release for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via the Epic Games Store in April of 2023.
