Fans found it shocking that the film has a multi-dimensional theme, where author Charles Dickens and his son Walter travel back to different points in Christ’s life. Isaac will play Jesus while Kenneth Branagh takes on the role of Dickens.

The film is based on a story written by Charles Dickens, which is a promising factor despite the bizarre plot. According to reports, more Biblical figures will appear in the film, voiced by some of the big names in Hollywood. VFX supervisor Seong-ho Jang will serve as the director of the film.

The premise is definitely a unique take on the story that took the fans by surprise. Many fans took to social media to express their wild reaction to the announcement. The film’s animation is done by the South Korea-based animation house, Mofac Animation. Blue Harbor Entertainment acquired the North American rights to the film. Anfernee Kim serves as the producer of the film. Voice and casting director Jamie Thomason will serve as the executive producer alongside filmmaking executive Andrew Mann.

The King of Kingsis set to arrive on the Easter weekend (from April 18-20) next year. The exact date is yet to be announced.
