Konami and Bloober Team worked hand in hand to recreate the entireSilent Hill 2experience as faithfully as possible. One of the most impressive aspects that these two studios successfully replicated was the incredibly intricate puzzles found in the game.
Among the many difficult puzzles, there is one in particular that involves the Brookhaven Hospital section and a hand with missing bracelets that is necessary to unlock a new part of the story.
To solve this puzzle, you’ll have to explore the hospital searching for different bracelets. This is a guide on how to solve the bracelet hand puzzle inSilent Hill 2.
Where Do You Find the Bracelets to Solve the Silent Hill 2 Puzzle?
This puzzle involves placing three different bracelets on a mannequin hand in the director’s office insideBrookhaven Hospital inSilent Hill 2. The first bracelet is found between the restroom and medical records room on the first floor.
An opening on the right side provides access to the medical records room. After entering, turn right and find the first of three bracelets on the floor at the far end.

After this, head to the second floor of the hospital and go to the women’s locker room, where you’ll find a teddy bear with a bent needle in its back. You’ll need this item in order to locate the second bracelet.
Once you leave, go to the third floor and break one of the windows right in front of room D1. Once you break the window, it allows you to enter the room and retrieve the hospital’s first-floor inner ward key.
To continue the search for the second bracelet, head to the pool area on the first floor. In this area, go to the showers and pick up the medical tube. Put the medical tube and needle together and go to the hospital’s first-floor pharmacy.
There, you’ll be able to reach the maintenance key that had fallen through a groove on the floor. With the maintenance key, go to the pool area and activate the valve to drain the pool.
After draining it, you can enter the pool—be careful, as there will be enemies waiting—and you’ll see a black eye painted at the deepest end of the pool. Use the tube to strike the eye and break the wall. Doing so will reveal the second bracelet.
Obtaining the Final Bracelet Is Necessary to Solve the Puzzle
To obtain the last of the three bracelets required to solve this puzzle, you’ll need to take several steps. Start by going to the third floor, to examination room 5, and solving the X-ray puzzle.

After solving the X-ray puzzle in examination room 5, you’ll receive a three-digit code. Still on the third floor, head to the room marked D1 on the map. When you arrive, use the code to unlock the door with a padlock.
Once inside, you’ll find a room filled with bugs and other things. Proceed to the bed and manipulate the sheet to ultimately locate the final bracelet in this intricate puzzle.
Solving the Director’s Office Puzzle in Silent Hill 2
Now that you’ve gathered all the bracelets after exploring almost the entire Brookhaven Hospital, head back to the director’s office. It’s located on the second floor of the hospital, nearly in the middle of the lower section.
On the director’s desk, you’ll find the mannequin hand ready for you to place the three bracelets you’ve collected. The primary objective of this puzzle is to unlock the eerie mannequin hand, which will provide you with the key to continueSilent Hill 2’sstory.
You can place the bracelets in any order you like, but the objective is to arrange them in a specific numerical order. You need the bracelets to indicate the following number: 92-45-71.
This applies to all difficulty levels, and once you’ve arranged the bracelets in this order, the hand will automatically open to give you the key. The best strategy is to find the numbers regardless of the order and then adjust the bracelets to match those numbers in order to activate the hand’s mechanism.
