During the promotional run forMadame Web, which is scheduled to sling its web into theatres from tomorrow, Dakota Johnson has mostly seemed unenthused about Sony’s Spider-Man Universe (SSU)’s fourth title.

Instead of hyping up the titular character’s origin story and shedding light on what fans can expect from Sony’s standalone universe, Johnson has used her tour to criticize Hollywood’s reluctance to embrace creativity, taken aim at the “nepo baby” controversy, and told fans how “psychotic” the experience of working with a blue screen was.
Her recent response when asked about Tom Holland’sSpider-Manmovies has also not gone down well with fans of the CBM genre. Regardless, Johnson’s followers continue to eat, with their eyes closed, whatever she has been serving.

Dakota Johnson Fails to Name Tom Holland’s Spider-Man Movies; Her Fans Couldn’t Care Less
Dakota Johnsonis entering the Spider-verse, as Cassandra Webb, the clairvoyant paramedic, who is forced to confront revelations about her past.
Madame Webis not part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe andTom Hollandisn’t going to surprise fans by appearing alongside Johnson and Sydney Sweeney. Still, everytitle in the SSU, including Tom Hardy’sVenom, is closely connected to Spider-Man, as they are based on classic characters from the Spider-Man comics.

As such, it’s not too much to expect Johnson to have seen (or just know about) Holland’sSpider-Manmovies. During an interview withMTV, theFifty Shades of Greystar was asked if she could name the“three Spider-Man Tom Holland”movies.
She replied:“Spider-Man: Here He Comes,Spider-Man: And He’s Back,andThe Goblet of Spider-Man.”

Much to no one’s astonishment, her fans absolutely loved her answers.

This is actually hilarious and I love her, BUT this further proves this film has been made with zero love for the art and a lot of love for the green.

honestly, better than the actual names they gave those movies.

Johnson is known for her candid and hilarious interviews. As such, she may have been just sticking to her brand and purposefully blurted out random names.
However, for once, it would’ve been better to instill some confidence inSpider-Manfans by showing she’s fully into the project and understands what the SSU is all about.
