Sharing details of Gosling’s audition at a panel of a fan festival dedicated to the show in 2016, casting director Jami Rudofsky revealed her first encounter with Gosling as she was casting for another teen drama. Rudofsky thought Gosling would be fit to play“a football character”inGilmore Girls. However, Gosling’s audition was“flat”and her co-workers thought (perVulture) she must have been crazy to have faith in this kid,“Everyone was like, ‘Really, Jami?’”
In its essence, Gosling’s evolution as an actor from there has been quite fascinating. Now, he is one of the A-listers with astounding accolades and credits to his name. The actor recently appeared in David Leitch’s action thriller,The Fall Guy,with Emily Blunt.

“This guy [Gosling] came in, and he was late, and I rolled my eyes because he was late, and he was blonde. I thought he was giving attitude — what I didn’t realize was that he was in character. He did the audition, and it was one of the most amazing auditions that I’ve ever seen.”
The casting director went on to add that she was eager to introduce Gosling toGilmore Girlsexecutives.“[I’d] kept him in my mind, and I was thinking, ‘I can’t wait for them [Gilmore Girls executives] to meet him,'”Rudofsky continued.

“And I am talking him up. I’m like, ‘Amy [Sherman-Palladino], guys, he’s the best actor. I’m telling you; he is amazing.’ So, he came in, I think it was a football character? I don’t even remember… He auditioned, and it kind of fell flat. And Amy was like, ‘Really, Jami?'”
At this point in his career, he has only been upward. Getting kicked out of the show does not matter that much as the actor walked the road to success in his post-Gilmore Girlsphase.
