Rockstar Gameshas been forced to remove multiple pieces of content fromGrand Theft Auto Online’s PC version, as the studio has reportedly suffered a “critical exploit.”
The instance occurred on June 13, with fans being alerted to the issue via the official Rockstar Games Support account on X (formerly Twitter). “We have identified a vulnerability with GTA Online on PC and made a temporary change to protect players,“the account posted.
Shortly before Rockstar was able to make the announcement, insider and data minerTezFunz2discovered a backend update that read, “Casino Heist Planning has been temporarily disabled on PC to address a critical exploit.” This was then confirmed by Rockstar just a few hours later.

At the time of writing this article, Casino Heists and Arcade Setup Missions remain disabled. The last update from Rockstar Games came at 6:45PM BST on June 14th, meaning there is no current timeline in place for when the content will return. It is also not known exactly what the “critical exploit” is or if it can affect players.
The last time a serious GTA Online exploit was discovered by Rockstar wasback in January 2023and took multiple days for the studio to rectify. The exploit was so severe that it reportedly allowed hackers to take control of players' accounts and even their PCs.
While Rockstar hasn’t confirmed whether or not this week’s issue is as severe, we recommend staying updated via the official Rockstar Support website for further updates on the matter.
