People loveHelldivers 2, or at least most of them still do. While one cannot deny that Arrowhead’s game has been making waves since it was launched, a few have emerged to highlight some issues recently. It’s not regarding gameplay, but it can be serious if escalates.

Helldivers 2 holds a rating of 9 based on 328K Steam reviews.

Millions of individuals have joined the fight for democracy, provided over eight million copies of the game have been sold by now. It would be hard to believe that some fans are turning back on it after Arrowhead dropped one announcement regarding in-game accounts.

Helldivers 2 May be Getting Into Serious Trouble

Helldivers 2is making players link their Steam account to a PlayStation Network account and they cannot play the game until they do so after May 30. Though it’s not a big deal, the worst can happen only if the individual is living in one of the countries PSN doesn’t operate in, account termination may follow.

“If they want my data so bad they can buy it from Google”: Fans Suggest Sony Might Just Be The Bad Guys After All as Studio Makes Life Harder for Helldivers 2 Players

An X/Twitter user Pirate Software raised their concern after the game notified them that they would not be able to play the game until their accounts were linked. That wasn’t the end of the story. The user was so disappointed that they changed their review for the game from positive to negative.

Not happening.

Removing access from Steam players unless they make a PSN account and link it months after release is absurd. Review changed to negative and I have filed for a refund.pic.twitter.com/xMVQUR3tLq

AvrosKyargath compared the requirement with the originalHelldivers,as it didn’t require any of that.

Strange how the first Helldivers game never needed this and still doesn’t on steam…

Despite some of the Helldivers are evengoing for extreme measures to liberate Super Earthit isn’t looking good at this point. The post has reached a million views at press time, and we don’t know if that has prompted more people to write negative reviews for the game.

PlayStation Users Are Not Alone In This Fight

It’s not just PlayStation players but PC users too who weren’t very happy with Sony’s latest announcement. Red 5 Studios co-founder Mark Kern, too, took to his social media handle and explained how it could affect the players.

According to them, the requirement could bind players to Sony’s TOS even if they don’t own a PlayStation.

GUNDAMMIT HELLDIVERS!

As a PC gamer I am completely UNINTERESTED in “upholding the values of safety and security” on PLAYSTATION.

This is a ridiculous requirement. This BINDS you to Sony’s TOS even if you don’t own a Playstation.https://t.co/Yneoh0berQ

If the momentum persists, Sony will soon have to plan things out to weather the storm. 77K players wereplaying the gameat the time of writing, and the company wouldn’t want the numbers to go down.
