Resident Evil Requiemoffers two distinct ways to experience the game, and there’s a special mode that lets the developerpick which camera perspectivethe player uses throughout the story.
Resident Evil 7 was the first fully first-person mainline entry in the series, which represented a return to the franchise’s survival horror roots, after a gradual shift towards action. Resident Evil Village did the same thing, but Capcom eventually added a third-person option, as fans wanted the classic camera back.

Resident Evil Requiem will have the ability tochoose between first and third-personviewpoints from the start. It has now been revealed by RinoTheBouncer on Twitter/X that there is a mode where the game will shift between the two, as determined by the developers.
Why Would Resident Evil Requiem Shift Camera View?
Most fans are likely to stick with one option over the other, depending on their preference for action or immersive horror. After all, playing in first-person is more difficult, as the player can’t see behind their character at all times, so it’s easier for them to get surprised and jump-scared by enemies.
The developer switching cameras will likely be split between dedicated horror sections and the action scenes. The Resident Evil Requiem trailers shown so far include a section whereGrace is pursued by a giant monsterwhile lacking weapons, which is a natural fit for first-person, but a section that involves fighting lots of zombies would suit third-person better.

Thisswitching camera views optionsounds like a great idea. Chances are, however, most people are just going to stick with the third-person view. The reason it was added to Resident Evil Village is because fans requested it, as they prefer the ability to see their immediate surroundings over the superior aiming control of first-person mode.
