While he did escape the events of Raccoon City, this environment contains many more enemies that he and the players will need to figure out how to survive. The village battle gives you the first taste of the hordes of enemies you’ll be fighting throughout the game and perfectly sets the tone for what’s ahead.
Your Goal In The Village
After being discovered by the village residents, they will all begin attacking you and chasing you around the buildings.You will be severely outnumbered, and a much stronger chainsaw-wielding enemy will also come after you. Once the fighting has started, you’ll have tosurvive a little over four minutes, with theemphasis being on surviving and not killing.Once the bell from the church chimes, the infected will immediately halt, and a cutscene will play.
As you kill more infected, others will join the battle, and you’ll rarely get the chance to breathe. Instead of attempting to take down as many as possible, your goal should be tocontinue running around and try to survive without wasting too much ammo.There will be lots of items to be looted around the village that you can use, but itultimately doesn’t matter how many of these enemies you killaside from them dropping some Pesetas for you to spend later. Rely on your bullets and knife only when needed, anddodge enemies in the more open areas while always picking different paths to run downto continue outrunning any pursuers.

Tricks To Help You Survive
When facing the center of the village on entering this area, there will bea two-story building to the back left side with the door open. Entering this building will give you a small break but will have the infected swarming your position. Upon entering this building,push the nearby bookshelf in front of the windowand quickly loot the first floor of any valuable items before the chainsaw wielder cuts through the front door.Heading upstairs will also give you a shotgun and some ammothat can be picked up and used, greatly helping your odds.
Along thefront right side of the village will be a small barn with a cow withinthat can be run through. Throwing a grenade in this barn is the perfect place to catch a few infected within the radius whilealso setting the barn on fireto hurt or kill others trying to chase you, hopefully. There is a tall tower you’re able to climb, but after reaching the top area,the floor will break, and you’ll fall into a small room with all the infectedchasing you and with only one door leading out.
Use thechainsaw wielders' wide attacks to hurt other nearby infectedwhile also staying far enough out of its range. The chainsaw can instantly kill Leon andis the biggest threat you should stay far away fromif you’re not comfortable with the parry and dodge mechanics of the game. You alsodo not take fall damage from jumping down from the second story of a building. Use this knowledge to utilize two-story houses to give you a way out that the infected won’t immediately follow. Continue running through the village and ensure you don’t get cornered, then strap in for the longest four minutes in the game.
