Talking about his time before his breakthrough, Amell told host Jimmy Kimmel that he was seated as an audience member while he struggled to get his break as an actor. He also mentioned that he was awaiting a call from his agent about a recent audition while an episode was taping.
Stephen Amell then went on to reveal that while audiences were supposed to switch off their phones while taping, he had kept his on since he was waiting on the call and was even reprimanded by security for using his phone. Kimmel was fascinated by the information and said,
Wow, that’s kinda weird. Maybe there’s a future superhero here in our audience right now.
Amell then mentioned that he stepped out in the middle of the show to take the call, which confirmed his appearance onCSI: Miami.
