How To Use Optiwand Or Mirror Gun
First of all, ensure you have Optiwand in your loadout in the LSPD department before jumping into a mission. You can alwayspress “5” to switch to Mirror Gunduring a mission, but if you only want to use it when you are next to a door, there is no need for that.
All you need to do islook at the bottom of a door, and then you will geta UI prompt telling you to press “F” to use Optiwand. Your character will switch to Optiwand and now if youhold down the fire button or Left Mous Button, you can check out the other side of the door.
Keep in mind that, in the early access version, the game used to switch the entire screen to Optiwand’s screen, but now, you will only see the other side of the door through Optiwand’s own screen. This will make it a bit less powerful, especially in situations where the other side of the door is dark.
You can alsocommand your AI teammates to use Optiwand. To do so, click the Middle Mouse Button while looking at a door, thenselect Scan, and then ask them to check the room using a Mirror Gun. If the teammates spot any threats, they will tell you about it.
