Ocular Jutsu, or Dojutsu, is among the most exclusive of these skills, possessed by only a handful of characters and clans in the Naruto universe.

Dojutsu such as the Byakugan, possessed by the Hyuga clan and the Legendary Sharingan of the Uchiha clan, play a significant role in molding the narrative of Naruto, deciding the fate of its protagonists and antagonists alike. Itachi Uchiha, a prodigy from the Uchiha clan, is one of the most powerful characters in the anime series. Itachi possessed the Sharingan ability, a power inherited by members of the Uchiha clan, and mastered it at a very young age. He also possesses the Mangekyou Sharingan, a rare and powerful variation of the Sharingan that grants him the Susanoo and Ametarsu. These are extremely powerful jutsu, unique to the Uchiha clan.

Itachi is also a master in potent techniques such as the aforementioned Amaterasu, and the Tsukuyomi genjutsu. However, these incredible powers came at a great emotional cost, ashe was forced to massacre every member of the Uchiha clan, sparing only his younger brother, Sasuke.

Known in the Narutoverse as the formidable Pain, Nagato is the leader of a dark and evil organization named the Akatsuki. He possesses the Rinnegan, which grants Nagato the abilities of the sage of the six paths, a power only possessed by Madara Uchiha before him. The Rinnegan happens to be one of the most powerful Dojutsu a ninja can possess, and Nagato was only proficient in using it because of his Uzumaki blood (since most people cannot survive the Rinnegan implantation). Despite his evil actions, he sacrifices himself to save the entirety of Konoha using his Rinnegan, which shows just how strong Nagato’s Dojutsu was.

Obito Uchiha has a fascinating character arc and an extremely disturbing past. It took him some time to acquire the inherited Sharingan. However, after his supposed death, he awakened the Mangekyou Sharingan and an exclusive ability called Kamui, which allowed him to move or teleport things in space-time, even his body parts. This made him one of the strongest Dojutsu users alive. He also acquired a Rinnegan at one point, and throughout his emotional journey, his Dojutsu abilities and the character arc only made him a more memorable figure among Naruto fans. A truly mighty one to boot, too.
5Madara Uchiha
The Legendary Madara Uchiha is notable for his involvement during the Warring States Period and for his leadership of the Uchiha clan. Born on a battlefield, he mastered the art of Dojutsu and is one of the few people to awaken the eternal Mangekyo Sharingan, granting him access to lethal jutsu like the Izanagi and Susanoo. He can wield them without losing stamina.With his eyes, he could control Kurama – the Nine-Tailed Fox, even awakening the Rinnegan and eventually becoming the Ten-tails Jinchriki. Madara is undoubtedly among the most fearsome antagonists in the Narutoverse because of his ocular abilities, though there are a few who can top even his remarkable talents.
4Indra Otsutsuki
Indra Otsutsuki, the firstborn of Hagoromo Otsutsuki, is otherwise known as the Sage of the Six Paths. He left quite an impact on the ninja world. Indra received the Sharingan as an inheritance from his father and subsequently succeeded in awakening the Mangekyo Sharingan. He was the first person to ever use the Susanoo technique. Anyone who encountered Indra in battle would find him a menace because of the potent chakra that surged through his entire body. Because of his excellent use of Dojutsu, even his brother Asura Otsutsuki, the successor of Ninshu, found it hard to defeat him. Indra was a born leader and possessed immense resilience, but his desire to succeed his father drove him down an evil path, which resulted in conflict and unrest for many centuries.
3Sasuke Uchiha
Among the most intriguing and emotionally-driven characters in Naruto is Sasuke Uchiha. He inherited the Sharingan, belonging to the Uchiha clan, and his primary motivation for getting stronger was to kill his older brother Itachi. Sasuke was able to make his Mangekyo Sharingan eternal after killing Itachi, which granted him abilities similar to those of Madara. Sasuke’s Mangekyo Sharingan grants him Dojutsu abilities, such as forming black flames using his eyes and the power to use Susanoo.

Hagoromo Otsutsuki, the God of the ninja world, also known as the Sage of Six Paths, was the eldest child of Kaguya. Just like his mother, Hagoromo possessed the Kekkei Mōra Rinnegan. Additionally, he has a mastery of the Six Paths Technique and wielded the ability to command the Tailed Beasts. He is the founder of Ninshu, which he formed to balance the influence of chakras.
Hagoromo’s excellence with his Dojutsu has been proven time and time again as he, with the help of his brother, managed to defeat Kaguya and seal her away. Hagoromo upholds the morals of the ninja world and plays his role in guiding ideals of cooperation and dignity.
1Kaguya Otsutsuki
Kaguya Otsutsuki is the mighty creator of chakra, renowned for her tremendous power and crucial contribution to the formation of the shinobi world. She has the power to travel between multiple dimensions after awakening her Rinne Sharingan. It happens to be the most potent eye to ever exist in the Narutoverse, granting her mastery over space-time. To rule the Ninja world, Kaguya’s lust for power led her to betray her son, Hagoromo, and later he imprisons her and splits the Ten-Tails. Despite having a reputation for being a terrifying opponent, Kaguyas' legacy lives on in the series, as the originator of the chakra that flows through all ninjas and the first being ever shown to have Ocular abilities.
