Following up the beginning of thePokemon GOHolidays event last week, Part 2 has now arrived and with it comes the new Catch Challenge Timed Research to complete.
Coming a year after Galarian Mr. Mime was first introduced into Pokemon GO, the Catch Challenge is one of two Timed Research that are available as part of this latest event.
Not only that, but there are plenty of other rewards to earn during this event as well, so it’s well worth your time to take part.
When Is the Holidays Part 2 Event?
Following up on the beginning of the overallPokemon GOHolidays Event last week, Part 2 is now starting on Thursday, December 23 at 1`0:00 am local time and will run for over a week until Friday, December 31 at 8:00 pm local time.
This is the time to celebrate the holidays inPokemon GO, which includes two brand new sets of Timed Research that will reward you with Galarian Mr. Mimes.
Pokemon GOHolidays Catch Challenge Timed Research Tasks and Rewards
The focus of this Timed Research is to catch lots of Pokemon that are available in this Holiday event. A number of these Pokemon are Ice types, which also come into play.
While there is only one step to complete, there are five total tasks to complete that have been provided byLeekDuck.
And that will do it for thePokemon GOHolidays Part 2 Catch Challenge Timed Research. It may only be six total tasks within one step, but there’s still plenty to do here.
The most taxing of the tasks is to catch 40 Ice type Pokemon, but the good thing is that there will be no shortage of them spawning during this event. This includes the newly added Bergmite, as well as others like Holiday Spheal and Holiday Cubchoo.
After completing all of these, you will get the rare Pokemon Galarian Mr. Mime. This was previously only available in a controversial paid event, so it’s good to be able to get not only this one, but the other free one during this event as well in the Friendship Challenge.
