Pokemon Day is celebrated on February 27 each year, marking the day Pokemon Red & Green launched in Japan. It has become host to“Pokemon Presents” shows, which are essentially Pokemon-themed Nintendo Directs, with announcements for mainline, spin-off, and mobile titles.

The officialPokemonwebsite has announced that a special Pokemon Day giveaway will happen, where players who visit certain stores will receive codes to claim a certain kind of Eevee, which has fueled speculation that a new Eeveelution is on the way.

What’s interesting about this giveaway is the timing. Fans are expecting Pokemon Day 2025 to feature an appearance from the upcomingPokemon Legends: Z-A, as well as a hint at the Gen 10 games.

It has been confirmed via thePokemon Tera Leakthat a Flying-type Eeveelution was planned for the Gen 7 games, but it was cut due to it being too similar to a fan-made design.
