Persona 5 Tactica
Find Cover
The most important part of Tactica’s new combat system is theneed to find cover.Larger cover offers complete protection, while other smaller pieces of cover offer partial cover. Whenbehind full cover, any attack coming from the other direction will completely miss, whilepartial cover gives that character resistance to all damage.
When ineither full or partial cover, a character cannot get knocked down,or an enemy gets One More on that character. Even when an enemy flanks a character in cover, simply standing next to cover will give resistance. No matter where a character needs to stand, make sure they’re always next to some sort of cover that still lines up a powerful attack.

Gun & Melee Attacks
While Persona 5 had limitations on ammo that hindered the effectiveness of guns, Persona 5 Tactica doesn’t have that same limitation. Now, gun attacks are one of the most important attacks a player can use, downing enemies that are shot at that aren’t behind cover.Melee attacks are also present in the game and shouldoften be utilized due to their knockback potential.
Melee attacks are great forhitting enemies out of cover or knocking them off of a platformdown to the ground below. Ifanother allyis nearby when an enemy is knocked off a platform, they canperform a follow-up attack and shoot the enemy as they fallfor additional damage.

One More’s & Triple Threats
Without elemental weaknesses, getting One Mores now comes from attacking enemies, not in cover.Enemies use the same cover system as the player, andattacking an enemy out of cover with a gun attack will give a One More. Usingcertain elements against enemies under a status ailmentwill also offer a One More, giving that character another action and full movement.
Triple Threats draw a triangle between the three characters on the map and will do an All-Out-Attack on all enemies within the triangle. After downing an enemy, any character with movement can still move and change the direction and shape of the triangleto try and fit as many enemies within as possible.

Mastering The Elements
Elemental attacks now havedifferent effects on enemies hit without any weaknesses being present in the game. Each element has its own uses and can be used tomove enemies aroundand line them up for stronger combos. Using Sub Personas, every character can get access to any ability, making it important to know what works best for your party and prioritizeSub Personaswith those skills. Knowing what an element does will help in using it to line up enemies for more devastating area-of-effect attacks or Triple Threat Attacks.
