If you’ve embarked on a journey to tackle the new foes, you’re at the right place. You’d need to craft new weapons, armor, and items that’ll aid you in exploring the unknown and fending off enemies trying to fiddle with your expeditions.
With such new equipment, it begs the question, what would we need to craft it? Something familiar to find is out of the question. There is no way developers want us to have high-tier items without grinding, which is quite right.
We have new Predator cores, essential for crafting new items, and we must work hard to obtain them.
What Are Predator Cores?
I know the name sounds scary, and it feels like you have to fight a ferocious boss to get the drop, but in reality, it’s quite the opposite. Predator cores arered ball-like dropsyou get after defeatingRampaging pals, also known asPredator pals.
These Pals haveunique skills amongsttheir counterpartsand are somewhat tough to challenge. You need to prepare your arsenal to take one of them head-on. Identifying these Pals is relatively simple. They’re just hiding in plain sight.
Withred auras around their eyesand rather angry looks on their faces, you’ll immediately recognize Predator Pals. When you come across one,a name with a health bar appears on the screen, confirming that a Predator pal is in front of you.
If you can’t determine Predator Pal at a spot, just come at night and check the location again, as some of them spawn at night.

Obtaining Predator Cores
With Predator Pals’s characteristics known, the question is, how do you even get these cores? Are theynear these Pals? Or do we have to go to extremes to get these cores and do what’s necessary? The answer is yes,you have tofight Predator Pals.
Depending ontheir level and your world settings,Predator cores' drop rate may vary. However, you have to defeat these Pals to get the cores. It’s easier than getting a boss’s raid drops, where you have to deploy a Pal army just to challenge one enemy.
Bring some food, ammo, and a good attack Pal, and you can defeat Predator Pals onthe Feybreak island.

Using Predator Cores
It’s elating to see that I don’t have to fight every single one of them. Whatever item, like thenew Meowmere sword, that uses Predator cores only needs a bunch of them, and that quota can be filled by fighting a few Predator Pals.
If you’re on a custom server, the drop rate may vary, but again, you don’t have to challenge every single one of them. Here’s a list of a few items that you can use Predator cores on:
