Overwatch 2Season 16 is here, and they really brought out the big guns for this one. Along with theall-new Stadium mode, they’ve added the 43rd hero to the game, Freja.

Since she’s new, you’ll probably beplaying quickdrawagainst your team to get yourself a chance to play her. She’s an interesting character with a couple of playstyles thanks to her perks.

8 FPS Games That Have Aged Like Milk

These formerly great FPS games haven’t held up well.

You can always test her out in the Practice Range, but playing a regular Quick Play game will give you a better idea of how she works. I’ll give you the breakdown and some advice onhow to play Freya in Overwatch 2and dominate with her fast-moving bounty hunter style.

What Are Freja’s Abilities?

Freja is a fairly mobile mid-to-long-range projectile marksman hero with no fall-off damage. She stays on the move and her weapon has two different firing modes, similar toAshe and Widowmaker.

Revdraw Crossbow

Revdraw Bow is the primary fire where you’ll fire your bolts pretty quickly. The bolts are projectiles, so you’ll have to lead your shots to be able to hit.

The main point of Freja’s kit and her big damage dealer. This high-speed bolt is still a projectile, so just like with the Revdraw Bow, you’ll need to lead your shots a bit to hit anything.

Quick Dash

Quick Dash will not only help you escape sticky situations, it will also let you secure kills. Using this will often keep you mobile enough to not get pinned down in a fight.

Dashes in the direction you’re moving and reloads Take Aim

you’re able to bind this to double jump and I recommend doing so as it becomes significantly easier to manipulate and use.

Updraft lets you access high ground with ease. Combine it with Take Aim and Quick Dash to keep yourself looking down on all your enemies.

Ultimate: Bola Shot

Bola Shot is an incredibly fierce ultimate, especially when combined with Freja’s Bount Hunter passive. Securing kills and winning team fights is what this is for and, with her passive, you’ll almost never be without it.

Freja has two passives, like almost every DPS. She gets the DPS passive to help secure kills along with her Bounty Hunter passive to keep her ultimate ready to go.

Her Minor Perks shouldn’t be brushed off, and it’ll be a tough choice between Frost Bolts and Tracking Instinct. You’ll need to pick the one that fits you or fits what you need for that specific game of Overwatch.

The Major Perks she has give her some great bonuses that should help you secure kills or get out just in time.Ready To Hunt and Relentless Barrage also give some good insight into how her playstyles work.

Something seems rather familiar about these heroes and villains.

How to Play Freja?

Freja has two pretty distinct playstyles, so my recommendation is that you try them out to see what fits you the best.Don’t forget to experiment, since what works for me may not work for you.

Hit and Run

For this playstyle, you’re going to want Frost Bolts and Relentless Barrage.Tracking Instinct can be helpful for finding the right person to dive, but Freja’s burst damage potential is so high it almost doesn’t matter.

Your movement in this style is as important as your aim.Use Quick Dash to help you secure kills around corners but try to leave at least one charge to help keep you out of trouble.

you may really mess with people’s aim by using Take Aim to essentially stop yourself for a moment. Use this stop to confuse enemies or move from one spot to another.

Rain Down From Above

This is probably more like the marksman-style characters you see commonly. You’ll focus on Tracking Instinct and Ready To Hunt.

This is much more reliant on your ability to aim effectively. If you’re struggling to do that, the best advice I can give you is practice.

Take Aim does Area of Effect damage, so shooting at someone hiding around a corner can secure the elimination. Abuse Tracking Instinct to get off additional damage on enemies trying to hide.

Take your time and learn the distances you need to lead your shots. This will help you not only Freja but all the projectile-style heroes in the game.

Not only is Freja finally here for Season 16, she’ll also be joining the cast of heroes in Stadium at the mid-season patch. She’s sure to bring a fun new edge to the game mode and I, for one, am excited to see all her Powers.
