There is a chance that he might earn the highest bounty among the Worst Generation members. This could elevate his status as a pirate and help him get closer to his goal of becoming Pirate King.
However, there is one character inOne Piecewho would have had the highest bounty in the entire series if the World Government had placed a price on her head. This character is none other than Shirahoshi, the Mermaid Princess from Fish-Men Island. Luffy’s Expected Bounty After Egghead Island

Not only that, but even Joy Boy made a small appearance through a flashback, which helped create even more hype for the series. However, the blame for the aftermath of the battle landed on Luffy as always.

Thus, if the bounty of Luffy was actually changed after the Egghead Island arc, it wouldhave exceeded the 4 billion berries mark easily. This would put Luffy among the ranks of the heavy hitters ofOne Piece,like Shanks, Kaido, Big Mom, etc. It would also sit perfectly with Luffy’s newly attained Emperor of the Sea title in the series.
Luffy Might Still Not Be Able To Reach Shirahoshi’s Expected Bounty
Shirahoshi does not have any bounty as of now. But if she unleashes her potential as the reincarnation of the Ancient Weapon Poseidon, she might become the biggest threat to the World Government, considering the current narrative ofOne Piece. As fans know, Vegapunk has already revealed that theOne Pieceworld is sinking.
While this is sad news for the entireOne Pieceworld, it does not really affect the residents of Fish-Men Island. In fact, it only helps them become even more powerful. Not only that, Shirahoshi has the ability to command the Sea Kings, who are the biggest creatures inOne Piece,capable of destroying islands. This eventually might become a big problem for the World Government.
