What Happened Previously On One Piece?
The recent successes of Luffy and Garp became the topic of intense conversation. Concerns over Garp’s alleged death at Hachinosu were raised, but Woop Slap guaranteed his well-being. Woop Slap was startled by a loud laugh but later realized it was Makino’s kid. Makino’s baby recognized Luffy’s face from newspaper cuttings. On Mt. Colubo, Dadan responded with tears after hearing the news. A great and mysterious earthquake shook the entire world and flooded islands, and the destruction of the Lulusia Kingdom a few days prior was the catalyst for this catastrophic event.
The Marines arrived at Egghead and encountered rising water levels. The massive fleet consisted of 100 ships, including 20 battleships and 30,000 Marines. Sentomaru obstructed their progress as they were led by Vice Admirals and Admiral Kizaru. Kizaru hesitated, imagining that CPO had failed because of the interference of the Straw Hat Pirates. Vice Admiral Doberman was keeping watch on a Saturn warship when it became apparent that Labophase was involved. As a result, the warship targeted personnel ships that were being evacuated to stop the loss of vital information.
A message from Egghead reached Kizaru, intercepted by the Five Elders in Mary Geoise. York questioned their pursuit, exposing Stella Vegapunk’s betrayal. Mars likened her to Vegapunk, but York countered, revealing her interest in the Void Century. As the sole link for CPO and Straw Hat, York looked for safety with Seraphim. She negotiated, proposing to create the Mother Flame through the island’s plant in exchange for safety and World Noble status. At the end of the chapter, Bonny realized that they were in a hostage-like situation.
