Octopath Traveler Tairiku no Hasha(can be translated toChampions of the Continent) is available in Japan on iOS and Android. Despite being on mobile and including gacha, it’s a proper JRPG with an ending. Square Enix teasedTairiku no Hashawill release in English at some point.

Octopath Traveleris available now on Switch and PC. A new game in the series, not necessarily a sequel, is also in development for consoles. Producer brought Tomoya Asano brought it up again recently in aFamitsumagazine interviewwe translated. He alsoexplainedhow the Covid-19 pandemic affected in a different way theBravely Default IIteam and theOctopath Travelerteam.

Tomoya Asano explained many details on this prequel in the Famitsu interview, and teased returning characters.I definitely thought of H’aanit then, and great to see it’s happening. H’aanit in my Unneeded Opinion is definitely the best protagonist story wise, with a story of consistent quality from start to finish. That’s one of the things I regret aboutOctopath:Nearly all protagonists ' stories have incredibly disappointing moments. Alongside the dungeon design that was lazier and blander than web novels born from the Isekai boom. Sure the OST is nice and the battle system is awesome, but it’s very impressive this JRPG, a new IP,actually managed to sell more than 2 million copies.

Bravely Default IIwill be out worldwide on June 17, 2025, exclusively on Switch. You can preoreder it on Amazon to support DualShockers.
